I. Composition and Odor
Acidic glue is based on acetic acid and releases an acetic acid smell during application, which is quite irritating.
Neutral glue uses a neutral formula and has no pungent odor. It is more environmentally friendly and can be applied in indoor enclosed spaces with peace of mind.
II. Base Material Compatibility (Key Difference)
Acidic glue is corrosive and must not be used on aluminum alloys, stainless steel, mirrors, marble, or painted boards. It can cause discoloration, peeling, and corrosion damage; it is only suitable for simple glass and non-coated wood materials.
Neutral glue has stable chemical properties and does not corrode any common home decoration materials. It is suitable for all types of materials such as glass, metal, stone, ceramic, plastic, and coated boards.
III. Curing and Usage Experience
Acidic glue is semi-dry quickly and cures rapidly, suitable for rush jobs; the glue body is relatively hard and has average elasticity. It is prone to cracking in environments with large temperature differences.
Neutral glue has a moderate curing speed, with a flexible glue body and strong elasticity. It has strong adaptability to thermal expansion and contraction and performs exceptionally well in terms of waterproofing, mold resistance, and anti-aging.
IV. Applications & Value for Money
Acidic glue: Offers high value for money and is mostly used for simple doors and windows in construction sites, ordinary glass fixation, and temporary sealing outdoors.
Neutral glue: Has stronger comprehensive performance and is the first choice for home decoration, kitchen and bathroom, soft furnishing, interior decoration projects, and mirror installation.
